Occupy Charleston Marion
Square and Protest March
Occupy Charleston wasted no time in riding the wave of momentum after the global news
of the recent Michele Bachmann mic Check. Occupy Charleston held a protest march
through downtown Charleston today and the approval seems to be growing and growing. All
along the protest march route cars were honking their horns and raising their arms out of the
cars in support of the marchers. With solid chants of banks got bailed out we got sold out,
the march attracted attention and made a defining statement that Occupy Charleston is here
to stay.

Occupy Charleston has been growing their numbers of supporters daily, as more and more
people wake up to the fact that large Corporations do not have their own workers best
interest at heart. As Corporations slash jobs to increase their profits, more and more
Americans find themselves jobless. There is a clear resolution of grievances that
Occupy
Charleston has crafted, and frankly i find it hard to find anyone that disagrees with them.
Occupy Charleston held a 99hour occupation of Brittlebank Park a few weeks ago, now they
have set their sights on occupying Marion Square. The protest marches through downtown
Charleston surprise many tourists,in a once was quiet sleepy downtown. Occupy Charleston
has served notice that this will not be as quiet anymore.

Protesting is a given right to all Americans under the Constitution, sometimes it is the only
way to raise awareness that something is wrong, and in America something has clearly gone
wrong. Whether you agree or disagree with the protesters, that is also your right. However
can you really say you are better off today than you were a few years ago? The current
Federal Reserve and Government has gone on a warpath to weaken our American
dollar, which raises prices for all the 99%. The more we spend on common goods and food
the left we have left.
