The South Carolina Aquarium
The South Carolina Aquarium in Charleston South Carolina is a wonderful place for
tourists and residents to visit. Kids can explore and see over over 10,000 plants and
animals including river otters, loggerhead sea turtles, alligators, Venus flytraps, great
blue herons, hawks, owls, sea horses, jellyfish, pufferfish, moray eels, horseshoe crabs,
starfish, pythons, sea dragons and sharks. The Aquarium recently added a 4-d theatre
movie theatre and runs a 4-d movie daily. If you have not ever been to the aquarium i
urge you to go and take a small child, the dazzle on their faces when they see a large
Tuna or shark swim by them is priceless. The aquarium recently aquired an albino
alligator and feedings are held throughout the day.

Aquarium membership has all kinds of special benefits that the general public is
not allowed. Recentl Spongebob paid a visit to take aquarium members and kids
on a treasure hunt throught the aquarium. Pictures were taken as the kids
followed spongebob using their treasure map. The hunt ended up in the Carolina
backwoods camping section where the treasure chest full of candy and prizes
was found for kids to have. Special events like this are priceless and can only be
attended if you become a member.The S.C. Aquarium is a non-profit education
and conservation organization, funded by a combination of ticket, concession and
souvenir sales, and corporate, government, and private donations
