The plantation includes a large
post-civil war farmhouse, a number
of original slave cabins (which were
occupied by sharecroppers well
into the 20th century), several
flowering gardens. the historic
"Avenue of Oaks" makes a
beautiful photograph and is sought
after by photogrsphers local and
around the world. the Oak trees line
a one mile drive up to the house
with live oaks on either
Celtic rock, highland dancing and athletic competitions are  
at the annual Scottish Games on the South Carolina coast.
Sponsored by the Scottish Society of Charleston, the 38th
edition of the Charleston Scottish Games and Highland
Gathering is held annusly at Boone Hall Plantation in
nearby
Mount Pleasant.
One of the greatest Charleston festivals to attend is
the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association annual
Lowcountry Oyster Festival. The event has been held
since 1992 on the grounds of historic Boone Hall
Plantation.  The plantation is located within Mt.
Pleasant, South Carolina. Boone Hall is one of
America’s oldest working plantations, as fields are still
worked and produce is sold at Boone Farms. The
Boone Hall festival area is behind the historic house
and has a wide grass field for event tents,all
shadowed by large ancient oak trees which serve as
a beautiful surrounding for any festival. This years
festival will be held Sunday,January 29, 2012

Boone Hall is set to host the Annual Taste of Charleston. This year
it is scheduled October 9-11, 2009. The festival is a celebration of
Lowcountry cuisine.
Hosted by the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association, The taste
of Charleston features some of the finest culinary delights around.
The event will also feature some of Charleston’s finest and nationally-
renowned chefs. One of the highlights of the festival is the Waiter’s
Wine Race. The event has been has been named one of the “Top 20
events in the Southeast” by Southeastern Tourism Society and
draws 1000s of visitors each year
